We have immediate Full Time vacancies across all of our 10 Care Homes in Glasgow, North & South Lanarkshire and Dundee. Following successful completion of your course we expect that you will be offered a contract of permanent employment.

Throughout the recent pandemic, Care Assistants have worked on the frontline delivering care and helping our residents in many ways while they have been separated from their loved ones.
* We appreciate that you are new to the care industry and as such we want to help you decide if this role is for you, the basic requirements we look for are that you are a kind, compassionate, friendly, and looking to make a difference to people’s lives.
* We will be happy to provide Lunch for all 5 days of the course and meet your Public Transport cost expenses for travel to and from our East Kilbride Head Office. On Day 2 of this course you will have the opportunity to visit one of the Care Homes, Public Transport cost will also be covered for this visit.
* From Day 3 you may be joined by new staff to the company who are experienced in their roles and together you will progress through to Day 5. A substantial amount of the skills that Care Assistants are required to perform this role to a high standard, are practical skills and mostly gained through “learning on the job”. We feel that the participation of both new staff to care and some experienced colleagues will assist you to gain a better insight and prepare you for your first few days working in our care homes.
What you can expect to achieve:
If you Successfully complete this course, over the 5 days you will complete the following courses and receive certificates of achievement in:
- Introduction to Care Session
- Fire Awareness
- Covid19
- Promoting Excellence in Dementia
- Personal Footcare
- Adult Support & Protection Awareness
- Moving & Handling (The Scottish Manual Handling Passport Scheme)
We will continue to support you in your new role and you will be introduced to our Care Assistant Competency Development Guide and Induction Programme. You will be appointed a mentor / supervisor to assist you through this process as you “learn on the job”.
You will have regular meetings with your mentor/supervisor throughout your 6 month probation period and the company Learning & Development Coach will check in with you at least once every month to see how you are progressing and to offer further support if you should need it.
