Are you an experienced Domestic/ Laundry Assistant who would like to move to a employer within the care sector that considers their dedicated Staff as their most valuable asset in delivering the very best care and support to our residents.

The Role:

Reporting to our Head Housekeeper, you will be part of the care team and as such you will be required to have some contact with residents. As the Domestic you must maintain a friendly character when working with or near residents at all times.

Main Duties:

  • To vacuum floors, dust and clean ornaments and surfaces and perform any other cleaning required by and under the direct orders of the Nurse on Duty.
  • To spot clean carpets every day, where necessary.
  • To empty waste baskets.
  • To clean all rooms thoroughly once a fortnight on a rota basis.
  • To clean all high and low areas as required.
  • Ensure all communal areas are kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Ensure statutory Health and Safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Understand, and ensure the implementation of, the Care Centres Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures
  • Promote safe working practice in the Care Centre
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures within the defined timescales
  • Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained
  • Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably assigned to you

Our Care Homes are organised to suit care provision for individuals with physical and/or mental complex healthcare needs. Carers are skilled in rehabilitation methods, taking on a range of continuing care needs, for which they are fully equipped and resourced to achieve high standards.

All rooms are en-suite and the service respects the privacy of residents, while promoting sound physical and emotional health through a thorough recreational programme.
